Educational Eligibility Criteria (TET-I: Std 1 to 5)

Aspirants must possess any one of the following qualifications to be eligible to apply for the TET-I (Standard 1 to 5) examination:

Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks AND a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks AND a 2-year D.El.Ed (as per NCTE norms, 2002).
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks AND a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Graduation AND a 2-year D.El.Ed.
Graduation with at least 50% marks AND a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- (Note: B.Ed candidates must mandatorily complete a 6-month Special Bridge Course after appointment.)
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks AND a Diploma in Education (Special Education).

TET-I Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The TET-I examination will be conducted for 150 marks and will consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The total duration of the exam will be 120 minutes (2 hours). Importantly, there will be No Negative Marking for incorrect answers.
