The Border Security Force (BSF), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has released an official recruitment notification for the post of Constable (General Duty – GD) under the Sports Quota. Online applications are invited to fill a total of 391 vacancies for Constable GD (Male: 197, Female: 194). Although these posts are temporary initially, they are likely to become permanent.
Eligible candidates can apply online on the official BSF recruitment website from 16/10/2025 to 04/11/2025. Selected candidates will receive a salary according to Level-3 (₹21,700 to ₹69,100/-).

Eligibility Criteria: Education, Age, and Sports
1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Pass) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
2. Sports Qualification
- Candidates must be Meritorious Sportspersons who have either won a medal or participated in a recognized sporting event at the International or National level declared in the last two years. Refer to the detailed notification for the list of eligible sports disciplines.
3. Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)

Physical Standards Test (PST)
Candidates must meet the prescribed physical standards as detailed below:

(Note: Relaxation in chest measurement is provided for SC/ST and certain other categories. No chest measurement for female candidates.)
